JSON Formatter

Make your JSON readable. Paste, format, and copy — no account needed.

JSON formatting happens locally in your browser.

Two-space indentation. Number values are preserved exactly.

Limits: 200,000 input characters, 1,000,000 output characters and 64 nesting levels to keep this browser tool responsive. Nothing is truncated.

Format and check JSON

Paste a JSON object, array or value, then choose Format JSON. Valid input becomes readable with two-space indentation. Invalid syntax shows an error instead of a result: JSON needs double-quoted keys and does not allow comments or trailing commas.

Keep the values you started with

Large number values stay exact. Formatting checks JSON syntax, not a schema or your API’s requirements. Editing the input clears the previous result until you format again.

Use it now. Continue later.

Format and copy without an account; those actions process your JSON locally. To reuse it, choose Save work beside the result. Sign in or create an account, confirm a name, then Continue in workspace. Saving sends your input and output to your account.

The workspace also includes regex testing, cron previews and payload preparation. Pro adds cURL and Python exports and a live API runner. Compare Free and Pro in a new tab while keeping your JSON here.
